Terms & Conditions

Effective 28 July 2026

These terms cover use of Qalam Hub, an internal tool for Qalam staff. By signing in you agree to them.

1.What this is

Qalam Hub (“the Hub”) is an internal operations tool provided by Qalam, 4200 International Pkwy, Carrollton, TX 75007, for coordinating programs, requests, tasks, and team workload across Qalam teams.

It is not a public service. It is provided to authorised Qalam staff for Qalam work.

2.Who may use it

Access is granted either by invitation from a Qalam administrator or automatically from an existing Qalam Seminary or Qalam Facility staff account. Students and external vendors are not eligible.

Access is tied to your role at Qalam and may be changed or withdrawn at any time — for example when you change teams or leave. Signing in with a Qalam account does not by itself entitle you to Hub access.

3.Your account

  • Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Do not share your account, and do not sign in on behalf of someone else.
  • Calendar subscription links act like passwords — anyone holding one can read that calendar. Do not forward them.
  • Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account.

4.Acceptable use

While using the Hub, please do not:

  • Access, or try to access, information belonging to teams or people you are not authorised to see.
  • Upload unlawful content, malware, or material you have no right to share.
  • Use information from the Hub for anything other than your Qalam work, or share it outside Qalam without authorisation.
  • Interfere with the service — probing, load-testing, scraping, or circumventing access controls.
  • Use the Hub to store sensitive personal information about students or families where a purpose-built system already exists for it.

Qalam may suspend access where these terms appear to have been breached.

5.Content you enter

Work you record in the Hub — events, requests, tasks, comments, attachments — is Qalam's operational record and belongs to Qalam. Please keep it accurate: other teams plan around what you enter, and changing a date or a status affects their work too.

Team-scoped items are visible to your whole team by design, not only to you, so that a request is never stuck with one person.

6.Connected services

The Hub links to the Qalam Seminary and Qalam Facility applications, and can optionally connect to your Google Calendar. Connecting Google Calendar is voluntary; what it can and cannot access is set out in the Privacy Policy. You may disconnect it at any time.

Those connected services have their own terms, and Qalam is not responsible for how third parties such as Google or Microsoft operate their platforms.

7.Availability

Qalam aims to keep the Hub available but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may be added, changed, or removed, and maintenance may make the Hub briefly unavailable. The Hub is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.

Do not treat the Hub as your only copy of anything critical.

8.Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Qalam is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Hub, including lost data, missed deadlines, or scheduling conflicts. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9.Privacy

How the Hub handles information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Qalam's organisation-wide privacy policy also applies, and governs where the two differ.

10.Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The effective date above changes when they do, and material changes are announced in the Hub. Continuing to use the Hub after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
